The World Culture Festival in Karachi features a vibrant concert
The World Culture Festival in Karachi has reached its 24th day, and music lovers are in for a treat with a vibrant concert that showcases a lineup of incredible artists.
Hosted by the Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP), the ‘Mega Music Concert 4.0’ added an exciting dimension to the festival. Performances by a diverse group of artists, including the South Korean band Good Fellis and Hamza Akram Qawwal, enthralled the audience.
The South Korean group’s performance stood out, captivating the audience with their unique style and energy. South Korea’s Consul General, Yi Sungho, shared his pride in their participation, noting, “For the first time, the people of Karachi are experiencing a South Korean musical band. This concert fosters cultural ties as both nations come together to enjoy the music.”
ACP President Muhammad Ahmed Shah echoed these sentiments, noting that South Korea is a nation of peace. Furthermore, he emphasized that by performing in Pakistan, the South Korean artists honored both their country and Pakistan. Additionally, he highlighted the innovative approaches South Koreans have taken in their music, presenting it in various styles.
The audience enjoyed a mesmerizing qawwali performance by Hamza Akram Qawwal and his group, swaying joyfully to the rhythm.
Wahab Bugti and Natasha Baig enchanted attendees with their soulful voices, while the SOVAPA Academic Ensemble paid tribute to renowned Pakistani music directors through their compositions.
